NEWS & ACTIVITY DAYS

TURRIFF SHOW

We have been invited to attend here over the past 8 years offering baby changing facilities and a private area for breast feeding. A huge thanks also to our team of volunteers and staff who we couldn’t do this show without!

NEARLY NEW ITEMS

At present we are unable to accept donations of baby / childrens furniture, toys etc. We do however keep a small selection of donated clothes ranging from newborn / tiny baby up to 4 - 5 years old. Please get in touch with us for information on what we have available. We can refer families onto the Baby Bank Network for necessities for anyone looking for pre owned baby furniture and other baby items. All money received for clothing bags goes to HSD funds. A suggested donation of £2.00 per bag is welcomed.

ACTIVITY DAYS

We regularly hold activity days throughout the school holidays. These are open to all families who are supported by HSD or attend any of our groups. We also hold activities solely for our supported families too.

More information can be obtained from our Family Support Workers or from our Facebook Page, as well as flyers at our groups.

SCOTTISH TRADITIONAL BOAT FESTIVAL, PORTSOY

Home-Start Deveron were invited to attend the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy for the first time in 2012, and have returned each year since, where we have received very positive feedback for the facility provided.

We provide a baby changing and baby feeding facility for families as well as fundraising activities in the Wally Green area.

Home-Start’s unique offer of friendship to families is recognised as an effective means of family support. Home-Start aims to support families towards independence so that the volunteer is no longer required.
